Class of 1967 Reunion 德明政府华文中学1967年高中畢業班五十年慶祝聚会
On 26 Nov 2017, 50 years after their graduation, Dunmanians from the Class of 1967 came together for a reunion dinner at the residence of our alumni, Tan Sri Albert Cheng Yong Kim, 丹斯里锺荣锦.
It was a heart-warming evening of reminiscing and fellowship with old friends and teachers for the 80 odd alumni who turned up. Dunman High School Advisory Committee (SAC) Chairman, Mr Ng Ser Miang，德明咨询委员会主席黄思绵，was also a member of this cohort. Four former DHS teachers who taught and journeyed with this batch of students were also invited to the reunion. Hearty conversations and joyous laughter filled the air as former students and teachers looked back at the fond memories they shared.
Also on display at the reunion dinner were several old school magazines and old batch photos, which prompted many recollections of the alumni and teachers’ memories of their time at DHS. Among the many artefacts displayed, one which stood out particularly was a calligraphy work by our 2nd Principal then, Mr Chen Jen Hao, 陈仁浩校长, who penned it as an encouragement to the students.
Our current Principal, Mr Tony Low, 刘德荣校长, was also invited to the reunion dinner, and could not help but be struck by the warmth he felt, as well as the strength of the bonds between the alumni and DHS. In his words, “It was a very moving occasion. The love they have for the school is still palpable.”
To many more years of reunions and reminiscing even as we look ahead to an exciting future!
