Year 6 Farewell Ceremony 2017
The Year 6 Farewell Ceremony was held on 13 October 2017 to mark the end of the six-year Integrated Programme journey of the Year 6 Class of 2017. The students were presented with their school testimonials and a graduation collar badge bearing the school crest, which signifies their everlasting ties to Dunman High.
The event began with our Head/Year 5&6, Mdm Leong, reminding the students to treasure their Dunman High experience and to always be guided by the school motto of honesty, trustworthiness, courage and loyalty as they continue their life journey beyond Dunman High. Our Principal, Mr Tony Low followed with a speech that emphasised the need for the Year 6s to appreciate what they have and to not take things for granted; especially the simple things in life that people tend to overlook.
The School Leaders as well as both Junior High and Senior High teachers put up heart-warming items, where messages of encouragement and touching memories of their times spent with the students were shared. Student representatives also reminisced about their personal experiences in Dunman High, the times they had spent together as a cohort and expressed their gratitude to all the teachers for their tireless efforts in journeying with them through their Senior High life.
Lastly, the 10th Senior High Student Council organised a special activity held at 正心园 to unveil a banner bearing the phrase: “一日德明人，一世德明情”, underscoring the strong family culture of Dunman High. The Year 6s also took the opportunity to take photographs with one another to remember this special occasion and reaffirm 6 years of friendship.
We wish all graduating students the very best in their ‘A’ level examinations and their future endeavours. Dunman High will always remain a home that is open to you. 有空就来“回家走走”吧，我们等着你。
