Dunman High School is proud to have been designated as the East Zone Centre of Excellence for Teaching and Learning (EZ COE T & L) with effect from 2011.

The Opening Ceremony held on 27 April 2011 (Wed) was graced by our Guest-of-honour, Ms Ho Peng, Director-General of Education.

The theme of the Opening Ceremony was “Teaching & Learning for the 21st Century”. Ms Ho Peng’s opening address provided a macro view of the critical triangle pillars for success in the educational landscape and encouraged all participants to look forward to an enhancement in and greater support for the teaching of the 21st Century Skills. A keynote address by Professor Hung (Associate Dean, Education Research, NIE) underlined the breadth and depth of authenticity in learning to bridge formal and informal curriculum, so as to develop self-directed learners for the 21st Century.

The day ended on a strong note, with eight concurrent session being conducted by nine East Zone schools.
